About Earnest Builds

A Heritage Built to Last.

Long before Earnest Builds had a name, the instinct to build was already there.

Nearly three
centuries in
the making.

The Earnest story reaches back to colonial Virginia, where generations established roots through the land, the homes they built, and the communities they helped shape.

Today, that heritage informs a new generation of building—one grounded in craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a commitment to creating something that lasts.

Earnest Fort House

Constructed for Henry and Mary Earnest during the late eighteenth century, the Earnest Fort House stands along the Nolichucky River in what is now Greene County, Tennessee.

The historic residence became part of a broader landscape associated with generations of the Earnest family and represents an important early chapter in the family's relationship with land and building in Tennessee.

Three chapters.
